Zoe-perry
Perry is the daughter Perry is the child of Laurie Metcalf (actor) and Jeff Perry, a director. Her first television roles were two times in the role of Jackie Harris (as seen in flashback) on her role on the ABC sitcom Roseanne as the character played by her mother. But her parents would not allow her to act until she reached the age of adulthood in fear of the impact stress might have on their daughter. Perry was shy throughout high school and did not act. She began acting at Northwestern University to gain friends upon her transfer to the university from Boston University. After graduating Perry went into New York to search for jobs on television, landing a couple of small parts in shows such as Law & Order: Criminal Intent But her home-sickness caused her to move back to California where she found acting work. Her mother and she starred on Broadway together with her in The Other Place, in 2013. In 2015, she starred alongside her father and Kevin McKidd in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize winning drama Anna Christie in the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble in West Los Angeles. Perry played a part in 9 episodes of ABC's thriller The Family during 2016. In 2017, she performed a role as a support in ABC's thriller about politics Scandal with her father. That same year she was chosen to portray a younger version of Mary Cooper (Sheldon Cooper's mother) in Young Sheldon, a spin-off of the CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory again playing a young version of her mother's role. This role was given an audition to the actress, even though she has a family tie with the character.
